Welcome to LegitPlot-Africa

Where Every Property Tells the Truth… or It Doesn’t Get Listed.

LegitPlot independently verifies real estate in Africa so buyers can invest with confidence, agents can sell faster, and fraudsters can finally find another career.

🌍 Now pre-onboarding agents and Brokers in East Africa.

Real estate in Africa has a trust problem.
We’re here to fix it.

Buying land in Africa—especially from abroad—comes with duplicate titles, fake sellers, disappearing deals, and constant uncertainty. Buyers are scared, honest agents are drained, and everyone is tired of guessing who’s actually legit.

Suspicious Listings

Anyone can post a “prime plot” on social media. Almost no one shows real evidence.

Diaspora Fear

People abroad want to invest back home—but they don’t trust links, photos, or the word “it’s genuine, my brother.

Honest Agents Lose Too

Request essential documents (title copy, mutation forms, survey printouts) so you can review the details confidently.

No Central Trusted Platform

There’s no single place where buyers can find properties that have actually been checked. Everything is scattered across WhatsApp, Facebook, and random websites—making it easy for scammers and hard for serious buyers to trust anything.

LegitPlot exists so that serious buyers and serious agents can finally meet in a space where the property has already been vetted.

How LegitPlot Works (before a listing goes live)

Property Submitted

An agent submits property details, documents, and location to LegitPlot.

Independent Verification

Our verification partners review titles, ownership records, and site details. If something smells off, we don’t list it. Simple.

Verified Listing Goes Live

Only verified properties appear on LegitPlot with a clear verification badge and summary. Buyers see the process, not just pretty photos.

Agents & Brokers

  • Get a Verified Listing Badge that instantly boosts trust.
  • Stand out from the sea of random WhatsApp screenshots.

  • Attract diaspora buyers who are ready but cautious.

Verified means we’ve actually checked.

"Verified" on LegitPlot is not a sticker we throw around for decoration. It means third-party checks on ownership records, site details, and red-flag patterns. No guarantee of perfection—this is Africa, we’re honest—but a serious step up from "I know the owner, don’t worry."

Title and ownership checks (where possible)

Site / location confirmation

Basic risk flags (disputes, overlaps where known)

Clear verification date & scope

We’re now onboarding our Founding Agents and first property submissions.

LegitPlot is in pre-launch. That means we’re building our first wave of verified listings with a small group of trusted agents and brokers. If you’re serious about transparency—and you want to be there when the marketplace opens to buyers—this is your moment.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does “Legit-Verified” mean?
"Legit-Verified" property has passed our full ownership and title verification process. We confirm the title’s authenticity with the Ministry of Lands, cross-check survey maps, confirm the registered owner, and ensure there are no caveats, encumbrances, or double sales.
How do you verify a property’s ownership?
We verify directly from official records — including title reference checks, cadastral maps, and the land registry. We also confirm the seller’s national identification and proof of ownership to ensure they match the registered title holder.
Can you verify land that’s not listed on LegitPlot?
Yes. You can submit any property for independent verification even if it’s not listed on LegitPlot. Our verification team will handle the process and issue a detailed verification report once complete.
How long does the verification process take?
Verification typically takes 3 to 7 working days, depending on the district land office and the completeness of the documents submitted. Some cases involving caveats or joint ownership may take longer.
How much does verification cost?
The fee varies depending on the property type and location. Individual plots start from around UGX 150,000, while larger or more complex titles may cost more. All fees are displayed clearly before submission.
Who can list property on LegitPlot?
Registered real-estate agents/brokers can list properties. Agents and Brokers can subscribe monthly for unlimited verified listings and access to our professional dashboard.
What happens if a property fails verification?
If our verification finds inconsistencies or red flags, we inform the submitter privately with a written explanation. The listing is not published until all issues are resolved, protecting buyers and maintaining platform integrity.
Are documents and personal data kept secure?
Yes. All uploaded documents are encrypted and stored securely. Only our verification team and authorized land registry contacts can access them. We never share or sell client data to third parties.
What benefits do agents and brokers get from joining LegitPlot?
Verified listings attract serious buyers faster. Agents and brokers also get access to analytics, automatic trust badges, branded profile pages, and lead alerts for every verified inquiry — all within their LegitPlot dashboard.
How do I know if a listing is truly verified?
Every verified property on LegitPlot displays a navy-blue “Verified” badge in the top left corner of the main listing image and in search results. Clicking it opens a mini verification summary showing the title reference, verification date, and verification level (Ownership / Title / Boundary / Tax).
