Legitplot Verification, Conduct & Service Agreement

1. Acceptance Of Terms (Electronic Agreement)

By creating an account, submitting information or listings, or checking the acceptance box labeled “I agree to the LegitPlot Agent Verification & Conduct Agreement,” the Agent confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by this Agreement.

This Agreement constitutes a valid and binding electronic contract under the laws of the Republic of Uganda and does not require a physical signature.

2. Purpose

This Agreement outlines the terms under which LegitPlot provides agent and property verification services and establishes professional conduct standards required to maintain platform integrity, buyer trust, and marketplace credibility.

3. Scope Of Verification Services

LegitPlot may, at its discretion:
- Review title deeds, land registry extracts, seller identification documents and agent-submitted materials
- Conduct online and/or in-person checks with relevant authorities, registries, or third parties
- Issue, withhold, suspend, or revoke a verification badge, status, or report based on findings

Verification applies to both the Agent’s identity and the listings they submit.

4. Limitations Of Verification

The Agent acknowledges and agrees that:
- Verification confirms only that submitted documents appear authentic and align with available information at the time of review
- LegitPlot does not guarantee ownership, title transfer, boundary accuracy, or absence of liens, disputes, or third-party claims
- LegitPlot is not responsible for:
* Subsequent changes in title or ownership
* Undisclosed encumbrances
* Fraud occurring after verification
* Disputes between buyers, sellers, agents, or third parties

Verification is informational only and does not replace legal, survey, or due-diligence processes.

5. Fees

- Verification fees are as published on the LegitPlot platform at the time of application
- Promotional or discretionary verification offers may be granted at LegitPlot’s sole discretion
- All verification fees are one-time and non-refundable once review has commenced, regardless of outcome

Payment covers administrative review and compliance checks and does not guarantee approval.

6. Agent Obligations

The Client agrees to:
- Submit true, accurate, and  complete documents and information
- Provide original documents if reasonably requested
- Cooperate fully during verification and compliance reviews
- Not alter, misrepresent, reuse, sell, or manipulate any verification badge, status, or LegitPlot branding

The Agent further agrees to conduct all platform activity honestly, professionally, and in good faith.

7. Agent Conduct & Platform Integrity

The Agent shall not:
- Submit false, misleading, duplicated, or non-authorized listings
- Impersonate another agent, broker, owner, or representative
- Engage in off-platform solicitation that misrepresents LegitPlot’s role
- Misuse buyer or seller inquiries received through the platform

Violation of conduct standards may result in suspension, revocation of verification, removal of listings, or permanent account termination without refund.

8. Seller & Buyer Inquiry Handling

Agents acknowledge that buyer and seller inquiries routed through LegitPlot are opportunities, not guarantees.
LegitPlot does not warrant the volume, quality, or conversion of inquiries.

Agents are responsible for:
- Lawful, ethical follow-up
- Accurate representation of listings
- Compliance with applicable laws and professional standards

9. Confidentiality & Data Use

LegitPlot shall:
- Treat all submitted documents as confidential
- Use documents solely for verification, compliance, and platform operations
-Disclose information only where required by law, regulatory authority, or fraud prevention necessity

Agents consent to limited verification-related contact with references, registries, or authorities.

10. Verification Outcomes

Verification results may include:
* Verified – Documents appear authentic based on available checks
* Pending – Additional information or review required
* Rejected – Inconsistencies found or verification could not be completed

LegitPlot reserves the right to update, downgrade, or revoke verification status if new information arises.

11. Liability Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- LegitPlot, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and partners shall not be liable for any loss, damage, claim, or dispute arising from reliance on verification results or platform use
- The Agent assumes full responsibility for all transactions, representations, and engagements conducted using the platform

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between LegitPlot and the Agent regarding verification and conduct and supersedes all prior communications, representations, or agreements, whether written or oral.
